Female: How are you doing, I am Jennifer DiDonato and you are watching the Brides Made Fit video blog. This week is the first of two video blogs that we are going to be disguising your workout into play and what you can do is go to any playground or any park and get your workout done right in there and I am going to show you how to do it. Plus you could bring the kids too so it is a lot of fun. Follow me.
Let us start with the basics. Everyone one wants a nice sexy tummy for the summertime and of course that does incorporate cardio but here is one thing you can do at the playground or park to help you get to that point of a nice firm tummy.
You are going to use a slide, the slide I just came down, and you are going to bring your legs up about 45 degrees and you are going to bring them down and up. What this is, is a V sit so you are leaning back as your legs are going forward and then you are coming in so you are crunching in the middle. Always exhale on exertion.
Exhale in the center. You may find that your hip flexors and legs are getting tired but that is only because possibly, your abdominals are a little bit weak at this point and they are sort of compensating. But as long as you keep up with this and keep doing it and be consistent, you would not have that problem anymore and you will get those nice firm abs.
Give me about three sets of 20. I know it is going to suck but you are going to thank yourself in the end when you are wearing that nice hot bikini in Florida. So it is summertime and we all know when we start wearing those halter tops and back fat is the number one spoiler to any fun summer. So ladies, I am going to show you what you can do on this sort of jungle gym or any other one similar to it.
We are going to work the back so you are going to grab hold onto it and be at about a 45 degree angle, keep your abs in tight and you are going to push up and slowly bring your back down. While keeping your back straight, I do not want you dipping, I do not want your butt falling. I want it to stay nice and level. This is working your back muscles along with your shoulders and your abdominals and also your biceps as well.
Really good for having a nice sexy lean back for your bathing suit or any functions you have to go to of course, where you are wearing a strapless or halter dress.
So I want you to give me about sets of about 10 to 12 reps. Do as many as you can each set and you will find that over time, you will be able to increase your repetitions and also possibly elevate your legs and give you more of a challenge.
Continuing on to our summer fitness playground tour is another back exercise. I just want to warn you guys, this one may be a little bit advanced so you can grab a partner or someone that can help hold your legs to take a little bit more weight off it because this is going to work the back and it is going to be a pull up and you can do this on either bars or in my case, I am going to be doing it on rings. So someone can be below you, holding your feet or you can bend them and someone can hold them and push up. Resist on the downward. Keep the abs tight, this is working your back along with your biceps as well. So if your friend was helping you, they would actually push you up a little bit. So it would take less weight off of you pulling it up.
This is great for your back and I highly recommend it once you build up your strength from doing the assisted inverted rows on the other bars.
Now for the grand finale of your workout this week here at the part, we are going to be doing one more exercise for your abdominals. We are going to use the same rings or bar that you used for your pull ups that we did just last time, so hoist yourself up. Keep your abdominals tight and just bring your knees to your chest. You really want to focus on bringing the knees to the chest because if you are not, if you are just bringing them up, you will start to swing. You see, I am swinging a little bit here so you want to bring them as high as you can. Exhale, bring them down slowly.
These are tough. All I want from you is just three sets of five for the first week and just keep on doing that a couple of days out of your week and then continue on trying to do more the next week. I hope you guys had a great workout here at the playground and do not forget that this is part one of a two part series of your playground workout. Next week, we will be doing some great exercises to work out your chest and sculpt those arms and do some leg exercises as well so it is definitely not over and we are definitely going to work you.
