In the art of feng shui there are several fundamental aspects one of which being directions, north, south, east, and west. Another being power spots. The power spots that are used in feng shui is a chart divided up into 9 sections that can be applied to a house, to a room or even to a major object like ones desk. And each section of the chart represents different aspects of our personal life such as our wealth, our career, harmony and balance, family and relationships, etc. And in the middle is the harmony and balance also known as Tai Chi and whatever happens in this area affects all the rest of the area, the atmosphere of our life.
Common practice is actually hanging a crystal from the ceiling from the middle of a room to help balance the energy of the room. The third fundamental aspect of feng shui is symbols. And these are symbols that can positively affect change within an atmosphere and within our life. For instance, one commonly used symbol is a small water fountain or moving water in general. Placing moving water in your front door, near the entrance way actually promotes wealth, promotes abundance, welcomes -- it is a welcoming symbol. Another common symbol within feng shui is the dragon in the traditional feng shui.
