Speaker: Hi! Today we are her today at Jabu's pub in Seattle, Washington. We're going to learn how to make a Margarita.
So items that we'll need, we'll need a shaker, two pine glasses, some salt, if you like salt on your margarita, a strainer, tequila, triple sec, sweet and sour and some lime wedges.
So first thing we're going to do, let's fill up the shaker with ice, put a couple of our lime wedges in the shaker and we're going to muddle. Now, usually when you muddle, you're trying to get the oil off of the lime. I prefer to muddle a little bit more and harsh because I like the pulpiness that comes out of muddling.
So go ahead and muddle. Alright, I think that's muddled enough. Put some tequila in here on about a four-five count, it depends upon how strong you want to make your margarita. So one, two, three and four. Next, we'll put a little Cointreau here, now this is basically the same thing as triple sec, it's got that orange liqueur flavor to it. So put a dash of that in.
Next, we're going to put a little bit of sweet and sour, not too much, you don't want it too sour. I am going to take one of our pine glasses here and do a little shake, try to get the top out off. Sometimes it can be a little difficult to get your glass out of your shaker there.
Next, now if you prefer to have salt on your brim of your glass, the easiest way to do this is to take a lime wedge and coat it around the outside of your glass, and then you it'll stick, it's wet. So it'll stick to the salt. Put your glass into a little salt duly barbered, what do they call these anyway? Like so and put the lime wedge back on there.
Take a strainer and actually, let's put our ice into our pine glass first. Start getting that salt, there we go and we'll strain it right into the glass. Now for good, we are kind of just about right and let's grab a straw and here we go it's time for a Margarita.
