Nina: We are back with more interesting facts that in one way or another relate to pregnancy. Some more so some less so. Okay so here is one that really relates to it. Up to 3rd babies are unplanned.
Kendall: Oh! Wow.
Nina: So as you are walking down the street, stop in your spot for a second blew a whistle and look around and at least on one side one out of three, nobody really wanted to. This is so sad, they may have got - joking, I am joking, I am joking.
Kendall: I could have asked my mommy and daddy.
Nina: So that will give you plan a baby that doesn't mean they don't want a baby.
Kendall: Well that's normal I don't think it's not so shocking it sound right and you never really know when you are purple, yeah because all these people having babies at this point, do they sit down and right down tomorrow night I want to sit down and figure out how to have a baby.
Nina: Hold on.
Kendall: And we are going to have a baby 9 months in that.
Nina: Do they think that all those people did --
Kendall: You know I mean they are all having sex.
Nina: Some of these people had failed.
Kendall: Pregnancies.
Nina: No failed -- their contraptions didn't work.
Kendall: Yeah the birth control didn't work in.
Nina: They can't always have been there, so some people -- what either can count.
Kendall: Oh! May be this teenage pregnancy even that survey, could be teenage pregnancies as well.
Nina: Okay so hold on. Despite all the recent technological advances in contraception one or three babies are conceived by mistake. According to Sexual Researchers and Editors. Okay for the study 3000 pregnant women and 900 others seeking abortions were asked about whether or not they have intended to become pregnant. Well, if they are taking an abortion.
Kendall: Because I try something new, they don't save the single or married and that's also a big question here because if you are married.
Nina: Okay hold on.
Kendall: But if you are single they don't plan on it.
Nina: So there is a 10% say that they definitely not wanted to become pregnant, 25 had not plan, had not been planning to have a baby ambivalent. Everybody wants to be born into a ambivalent family, I have a baby, great. Okay that's fabulous okay.
Kendall: Well if you are married they don't think about birth control or contraception a lot people don't, nor they get married, they are on a honeymoon stage, this is what happens, people don't sit down and work it out.
Nina: the Roommates of University who were apparently was told she would never had babies got married and of course never used birth control because has been told already.
Kendall: Nine months later.
Nina: To the day, nine months later to that day.
Kendall: She had a baby, really. So why do they tell that. Do they have test.
Nina: Well they could have -- I guess it was a trick may be they hated her because I don't know -- it wasn't true. Okay hold on the study suggest that women are not taking emergency contraception or they get the pill, so you are right.
Kendall: Oh! I take it yes.
Nina: Or another contraception method fails. Researchers suggest that effort to teach women how to use contraception should be renewed. Well, Edinburgh, you guys are really on the ball.
Kendall: Yeah they should definitely look at it. Here I want to talk about smoking damages, that smoking that damages fertility. Okay heavy smoking may lower the chances of embryo implantation in the uterus according to a new study, while it's long been known that smoking impairs the ovaries, new research is suggesting that it may also have an impact on the uterine receptiveness, another reason to quite as if you didn't have enough, oh! My goodness, so there you go smoking is bad for you, in all shape, way, or form. Don't smoke. It's going to effect whether you have that baby or not because it can severely decrease the chances of implantation like the study shows and it damages the fetus.
Nina: And after the baby is born you need life insurance that also raises the price of your premiums. There is just no upside to smoking.
Kendall: Yeah there is no upside to it no.
Nina: If you feel that you need to put something in your mouth like for that effect, get a stick.
Kendall: Yeah chocolate, lollypop, suck on a candy, but don't smoke because if you want to get pregnant you are smoking, cut it out try and quite get the nicotine patch or do something.
Nina: It will haunt you for the rest of time.
Kendall: They do acupuncture to make you stop smoking. My father smokes 3 packs a day.
Nina: He shouldn't.
Kendall: Yes he has to stop, but they are trying to do some acupuncture for him to make him stop if it's an addiction-
Nina: I understand I smoke, I went home, I threw up in the toilet and that pretty much ended my smoking.
Kendall: There you but if you wanted to have a baby then stop smoking.
Nina: Well at 14 when I smoked I really wasn't planning on it, that was the cigarette was 14 the baby is well, that took me another 20 years to figure that out.
Kendall: We will be right back.
