This bird of praise, stole the show for Renault at the 2008 Paris Motor Show. Hi! I am Rebecca Brayton and welcome to WatchMojo.com. Today we're checking out the Renault Concept, Ondelios.
Most concept cars are designed with the hope that one day they will be put into production. The Ondelios is likely not one of those cars.
To describe the Ondelios as futuristic would be an understatement. To start, probably the most outrageous and noticeable details on the Ondelios are its doors. The gullwing doors are majestic and extravagant addition to this concept car.
Steps descend when the gullwing doors open, providing easy entrance into this high end crossover CUV.
The car's exterior was designed to look like it was made of one piece of material. Another highlight of this futuristic concept is its abundance of windows with over half of the car's surface to be in window.
The interior of the Ondelios is reminiscent of business class travel. The six individual seats reclined have footrests and personal entertainment gadgets in the headrest. This concept is definitely a combination of comfort and environmental awareness, with its combination of diesel hybrid engine.
However, the Ondelios was likely created to add a bit of excitement to the lives of the Renault design team. Don't expect to see this real-life Batmobile on the road anytime soon.
