The Scorpion Bowl Cocktail Recipe

This episode we’re going to look at another one of those exotic drinks made up of special glassware the scorpion bowl.

Aloha! and welcome on the cocktail spirit from small screen network , I’m your host Robert Hess .In this episode we’re going to take a look at the drink that made from the tricky sculpture that have those special type of glass that used in it cause as if its called the scorpion bowl. A bunch of different Tiki restaurant have their own version of this scorpion bowl their using for. Trader Vicks looks one way down the beach commonly use look in other way and as this bar have this very ceramic ware made form they like to quit their own embellishment. This particular tricky bowl is made by Bosco it made simply by adding a six ounces of orange juice.

I’ve pre measured this to that we added four ounces of lemon juice I’ve also pre measured this just freshly squeezed. One and a half ounces of orgeat syrup, again this is an almond flavored simple syrup it’s just a simply sweeteners no alcohol at all in it. This is from Pea brothers you can find it often in stores that sell coffee syrups and stuffs like that you can also use just plain almond syrup if you can’t find orgeat syrup. We got ours from kegwords.com and we’re going to add to that six ounces of light rum six ounces that’s pretty stiff drink. You might say well this is one of those tricky drinks you don’t drink by yourself. There’s two four and six and to that we add one ounce of brandy. We add some ice to our blender cap it up and turn it on. Sounds like we did the job there and we poured this into our scorpion bowl and a little room for some additional ice.

Now sometimes this drink is garnished with a gardenia pudding on top of it and or any gardenia got flower I checked this morning so we’re not doing that you do serve it with several straws and there we have the scorpion bowl.
