The Secret Underwater Pomegranate Trick
All right, today, we have top secret restaurant technique, how to get all a beautiful
Pomegranate kernels out of the Pomegranate without breaking any, without making a big
mess so, there's our Pomegranate. Basically, I just cut in half, a lot of people do. They
break this open and they try to pick these apart and they really waste a lot. See that blood
see, you just me turn break that. That blood started to coming out. It’s just not a good
technique.
So here’s the secret Chef way to do it. Get a bowl of cold water, and break it apart under
water, and you’ll be amazed how easy this is. What happen is the kernels where come out
nicely just rub on with your thumb, alright. The kernels are heavier than water so they're
going to sink to the bottom and all that papery remembering that you see between
sections, that’s floats so what a great combination. The stuff we want sinks to the bottom.
The stuff we don’t want floats to the top or we can just fish it out and you're just can be
left with a nice bunch of those beautiful just sweet tarp kernels and if you ever it have it
fresh when you know the what I’m talking about, this explode in your mouth.
Now don’t drain this, okay. What I do, I just fish out most of the big pieces and then I
just go down to the bottom and just grabbed the fruit just like that. Anyway, I don’t have
to rinse it, see if you drain all that all those little pieces of membrane would go with it.
You just fishing out pomegranate and you're ready to garnish like I said, your salad, the
cheese cake, this is really nice on. See people garnish better that squash soup with this.
