Ken: I want to do something, I want to talk to our Dolans.com family for just a couple of minutes because we’re getting a lot of calls, people were really, really discouraged times or tough. And a lot of people sort of losing their parents, I want to take a second. I kind and quote like the Secretes of Millionaires and we can all be one.
Over the last 22 years in the media, Daria and I have invited you to hundreds and hundreds of success from king as to presidents and been all sorts of people, the corporate CEOs. We’ve been reviewed a lot success to a people and I want to share some of what they told us and some of the things we live by. Yeah maybe you can call us a little bit of a motivational speak. Okay call whatever you want but I’m talking from the heart because enough a lot discouraged people out there. A lot of successful people are setting goals and what they’re doing key, is they’re doing something every single day to reach that goal.
Here’s the goal and some days are better than others getting there but they set goals with a clear, clear sense of direction. Successes of people of—you know they’ve done, they broken their comfort mode. When I was in my early 40s, I change career as I was like you know big child on Wall Street and I had a chance to do radio and TV at home and I’m doing various—well maybe I’ll try, so don’t be afraid to break your comfort mode and I’m going to tell you this is something I live by and I know I’m sounds like I’m lecturing to you but find something that you have passion for. Find something which makes me the luckiest guy in the world. I met my desk at 5:30 every morning. I can't wait to get to my desk and I’m almost sorry when the day is over. Find something you can be enthusiastic about and passionate about whether you make a lot of money matter or not. I mean it’s really, really key.
When you’re looking at your career, when you’re doing your job, even if your not self-employed think of yourself as self-employed. Learn how a problem solved, be that committed to the job. It will be notice and as I just said before, something I’ve seen in successful people for so many years solving problems not making them solving them. What a great, great deal. Also in this tricky tricky times, when people are being laid off I never expected to be.
Continue to grow either as I said change career to something that you’re more passion about or learn to be better and what you’re doing expanding your skills either getting money from your employer to do that. To go to back to college or into classes or even spending your own money in time, to expand your knowledge because I’m going to tell you back to problem solving again. The people, they’re going to survive and tried been the years ahead are the people who can do more than one thing. I’m telling you for sure.
Surround yourself with winners. Stop working around people and associating with people that don’t care, that don’t have goals so don’t work out everyday. Surround yourself with winners, its going to pay off. Failure is not an option in your life. Keep your health. Feel good about yourself. Feel good physically. Failure is not an option and last be decisive an action oriented. Too many people are phoning their lives in. Think like successful, think like a millionaire and you’ll find yourself a lot closer and speaking of that one little good investing tip pay yourself first. I can tell you how many times you’ve heard that from successful investors. Pay yourself first. Bottom line be decisive, be passionate, be enthusiastic, be goal oriented. Do something everyday to get closer to your goal. Its going to payoff I’m not kidding you. Its going to pay off.
