Dr. Travis Stork: It is estimated this makes one in 100 people have some forum of Tourette syndrome and it could be something in Jim’s minor as a facial tick. It does start in childhood and so parents are always, are wondering when we talked about illnesses like this. What are the signs to look out for?

Dr. Jim Sears: Now this is a pretty common, about an estimated 200,000 Americans deal with Tourette. And you know it hits all racial groups, all ethnic groups but it hits boys more often about 3-4 times more often in boys than in girls. And like you said symptoms are usually start in childhood. The averages between 7 and 10 years old but the good news is there’s usually gets better as you get into early adulthood, your mid 20s often times it steaks start to go down especially if they severe. Some of these symptoms start to take off usually.
