The Suffering Bastard Cocktail Recipe The Suffering Bastard supposedly the name comes from the someone misunderstanding why suffering bar steward but I like the suffering bastard better. Aloha! And welcome to the cocktail spirit from small screen network. I’m your host Robert Hess .This episode we’re gonna look at the drink called the suffering bastard .It comes from the Shepherd’s Hotel in Cairo Egypt back in the days of the exotic cocktails it’s very simple drink we’re going to start of with one ounce of fresh squeeze lime juice, one ounce of bourbon,one ounce of gin, a dash of angostura bitters a dash and a half and about four ounces of ginger ale and we’re going to fill the glass with ice ,and we quick stir we ‘re gonna make sure we get it well chilled and well mixed the carbonation of the ginger will help with some of that mixing and then garnish it with a cherry and orange wedge and a couple springs of mint and serve with straws ,and there we have the Suffering Bastard.
