Shalom, this video is about the Sukkot Hanukkah connection. There was a story in the news recently about a woman who disappeared eight days before and was finally found and there was a miracle, the bottom of 20 feet ravine or cargo going off the side, she had no food or water for eight days and was able to survive. It was fantastic and of course when I started saying a headline and said miracle in eight days, thinking about the Hanukkah story and how the legend is that the oil was only supposed to last one day but it lasted eight while the rider got back from a four day there and forty bad journey.
Now, the reasons why that story in the Talmud is because the Talmud is written on the roman dominion and the Jews were afraid to tell the true story to elaborate at the Talmud about the real political nature, I talk about this in detail and my Hanukkah, the truth about Hanukkah video. I really want to talk about here; there was the Sukkot Hanukkah connection. The real reason that Hanukkah is eight days is because six weeks before in Sukkot’s time, they could not celebrate Sukkot because the temple was desecrated and we know this because if you read the book of Makabis which is not in the bible, it is only a pucker form but it is a books written by Jews about Jews, about Hanukkah.
It is pretty clear that Hanukkah was really is a celebration, they did Hawuau. They waved palm branches, it is just clear that they had missed clothes so much, they felt the first chance they got, once the temple was rededicated and they were going to celebrate Sukkodigan so it makes a perfect sense that there was net day holiday and the tradition about eight days and light came later. In fact, there is another vent of source that I mentioned in another video that earlier we have been ex source that they found each piercing of cannels in them. So there is a great connection between Sukkot and Hanukkah, without Hanukkah, really the next is when the Talmud would be tubashla but in the bible would be four, you have five months.
