The Symptoms of ADHD

I am Burl. I am from Northern California and I would like to know what are the symptoms of ADD and ADHD?

Burl, that's a great question. There are three major areas for symptoms and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder or ADHD. Those three domains are; one, hyperactivity - these are children who are on the go as if driven by a motor, a very hyperactive, they can't sit still, they get out of their seat in the classroom, they bud in line. They have problems taking turns. They have that real motoric hyperactivity. The other group of symptoms is impulsivity. These are kids who do things without thinking and oftentimes get themselves into trouble because they are impulsive and then the other domain is inattention. These are kids whose minds wander, they daydream, and they have difficulty staying focused on tasks and activities. There are two types of ADHD. There is a predominantly inattentive subtype and then there is the hyperactive impulsive subtype and then there is a group of kids who have both, who have both the inattention problems, as well as have hyperactivity and impulsivity.
