The first one I would say is that most people think it is pretending. Really it comes from a truthful place you are playing a character in a different situation. Yes, and maybe in a different time but because you are playing that character everything has to come from within, everything has to come from somewhere truthful. So for example, if you need to be angry you can just play the anger you have to play why you are angry, where it comes from that and anger is really truthful. That is why a lot of actors have to sort of like calm down, and breathe, and be themselves afterward because they are in a such in a moment. When kids play they, themselves believe that for example they are being pirates but in there heads they are really pirates and they are committed to those characters and when they speak with there parents for example they still keep that character of being pirates. And that from really is it is just acting it is just being committed to a situation to a character.
