Forth Worth is the fifth largest city in the State of Texas and the 18th largest city in the United States. The city is the second largest cultural and economic center of the Dallas Forth Worth Arlington Metropolitan area.
Forth Worth, Texas is known as America’s livable community. Today, it is a thriving center of culture and commerce. Visitors are often surprised by everything Forth Worth has to offer, the historic stock yards, remarkable museums, a dazzling downtown area, Texas Motor Speedway and much more. Forth Worth has a humid sub-tropical climate. The hottest month of the year is July and the average high temperature is 97 degrees Fahrenheit and overnight low temperatures average 72 degrees Fahrenheit. The coldest month of the year is January when the average high temperature is 55 degrees Fahrenheit.
For the art lovers, Fort Worth will not disappoint you. The Modern Art Museum of Forth Worth is located in the city’s cultural district adjacent to the Kimbell Art Museum. The modern, as it is often called currently contains over 2,600 works of post World War II art. The Kimbell Art Building is a series of parallel barrel vaults and displays and exterior water feature along with various paths and gardens on the ground. Within its walls are found works by Picasso, El Greco, Monet and more as well as antiquities ranging from Greek and Roman and an Asian collection as well.
If museums aren’t your thing, the Texas Motor Speedway is a super speedway. This NASCAR track caters to fans of one of the most populous spectator sport in the United States. The fastest and the loudest sporting facility in Forth Worth.
At the Stock Yard Station, a western style family destination where the fun is non-stop, you’ll find galleries, restaurants, gift shops, western clothing stores and much more. You can also take a cowboy walking tour including a trip to the livestock exchange building and a behind the scenes look at the Billy Bob Texas Restaurant.
Forth Worth is a very fun and friendly city with lots of events and fun things to do.
