Hi and welcome to watchmojo.com. I am Derek Allen and today we have a new list for you. We are going to be counting down the top ten NHL Forwards of all time. So we are going to do it and start it with number 10.
Starting off with number 10 is Mike Bossy. This is a player that helped lead the Islanders to four consecutive Stanley Cups. In his rookie season, he had a 53 goal season which is pretty amazing.
Him and Gretzky are the only two players to have 9 consecutive seasons with 50 or more goals, and also him and Gretzky are the only two players to have 6 consecutive seasons with 60 or more goals.
Now, what sets him apart is he was only healthy for 9 full seasons. Now, Bossy has the highest scoring average at 0.762 goals per game, and he has the second highest playoff goals per game average only behind Mario Lemieux.
Many believed this is because he never played long enough for his performance to deteriorate over the years. In 1980-1981 season, he managed to score 50 goals in 50 games, one of the very few to do so. And he was the first since Maurice Richard to do this amazing feat.
