So, we've reached the top two NHL Forwards of all time and well it always remain to toss out between sports fans.
We've put Wayne Gretzky at number two on the list. Not to take anything away from the man, he has some of the most amazing feats not only in Hockey, but in any sport period, but there was just something missing there.
In his first year in the NHL, straight out of WHA, he was awarded with the Hart Trophy as league MVP. He also tied for the scoring lead with Marcel Dionne with 137 points.
Wayne Gretzky held or shared 61 NHL records and just because of this amazing stat, I am just going to list off some of his greatest feats over his NHL career. He had the most goals in a season at 92, the most assists in a season 163 and the most points in NHL season at 215. He also holds the record for the fastest 50 goals in 50 games or less, which he managed to do in only 39 games.
In 1982-1983, Wayne Gretzky had 51 game scoring streak. During the streak, he had 61 goals, 92 assists for 153 points. Just keep in mind, this is a number that players struggle to do year after year and he managed to do in 51 games rather than 82.
