OMG THIS IS PERFECTLY LEGAL IM SO SICK OF IDIOTS WHO DONT KNOW FOOTBALL SAYING ITS ILLEGAL! The center snapped the ball, teh defense has to know (yes even at a low level such as highschool) that if that ball moves the play is live till a whistle is blown. Congradulations offensive coach for having a more disciplined team since its obvious the team on defense is poorly managed

Seriously, people, stop getting caught up on whether or not it is a legal play. It's just funny.

This is really not a legal play. And no, not every team has a play like this. I would know. I play High School Football. I have never experienced a play like this, or practiced one, or used one in a game. Also, its true that you cannot use deception to make it seem as if a snap is not imminent. A trick play has to do with deception of who has the play and what they will do with it: Run/pass/handoff, or what have you, not when the ball will be snapped. And don;t say a hard count is deception related to the snap. It is the exact opposite of this play, it makes the defense think the ball has been or is being snapped, not that it won't be snapped. The defense yelling snap counts is considered a delay of game, in case you were wondering. All you people who say it is legal, you are not well versed in the rules of football. On the other hand, the idea that this is like faking a seizure is wrong as well. It follows the basic rules, no one from the sidelines is on the field. No illegal motion or false start either.

<> rofl. if you can't recognize the difference between this play and having someone fake a seizure then i don't know what to do for you. the defense was caught napping on what was a legal play. there is no rule saying the offense has to move when the ball is snapped. there was nothing preventing someone from absolutely creaming the qb. rules state that the qb may make no motion which is an obvious attempt to draw the defense offside. it's unconventional at worst. you guys need to grow up.

Some might call me a football and ball fanatic. I like to think of myself as more of a sports connoisseur.
