Been around since 1905, and your explanation is incorrect. The higher pressures will have higher flames since this is more oxygen at those spots to burn.

"I want my fireplace to do that." If you have a gas fireplace it would probably not be too hard to cut and extend one of the tubes, and mount a speaker in the end.
