Mike Agerbo: Well, I think we take ourselves a little seriously sometimes on the show when it comes to technology and speak for myself maybe.
Lindsay Smith: Yeah, maybe speak for yourself. I don’t know why I always like to have a little bit of fun and sometimes we think that technology has to be really complicated. Well, it doesn’t. And we’re going to show you how a technology can be simple and fun.
Mike Agerbo: These are a bunch of things from Think Geek or ThinkGeek.com. They’ve got all sorts of cool little gadgets and things for Geeks.
Lindsay Smith: Yeah so at first, I thought that this was a little panic button, it’s not. It’s actually for the office. It’s a staple list stapler. How cool is that?
Mike Agerbo: When I heard this,I thought okay this is not the word but check this out.
Lindsay Smith: Okay, all right so we’ve just put it in there on the side and then we push down, wallah! What’s it’s done is it actually poked a little hole in there and cut the paper and tapped it in behind and like chill them, how cool this is. Wow! Now, I think this is really cool because a lot of us recycle our paper. We should be recycling our paper and isn’t it so annoying when you have to remove all the staples all the time?
Mike Agerbo: Yes.
Lindsay Smith: Yes, so about six.
Mike Agerbo: For of us that do remove the staples.
Lindsay Smith: Yeah, well exactly. This is only about $6.00 so—
Mike Agerbo: You know what it does actually works.
Lindsay Smith: I know I like it. So, hey Mike, I just pulled that on my pocket.
Mike Agerbo: Scissors of death I call this.
Lindsay Smith: Scissors of death, they are actually little laser guided scissors. I think they were like $17.00 or $18.00 and it’s cool because it’s got a laser beam. I just pressed this little button here and the laser beam shoots out the front there and there you go. Well, I got it cut and you can see the lights in the studio are bit bright but it will actually allow you to cut in a straight line.
Mike Agerbo: Can I ask you something? What if I start, my hands start shaking, doesn’t the laser beam move because it’s on the scissors?
Lindsay Smith: Yeah, it does but hey I really like the concept of the laser beam and my scissor so just let me have my fun.
Mike Agerbo: There is something that I want to show you now, but I need to show you for a while, quite exciting.
Lindsay Smith: This is a bit scary. Are you sure you want to take up your clothes?
Mike Agerbo: I’m just taking off my shirt or check this out, it’s my WiFi t-shirt.
Lindsay Smith: Oh! So cool!
Mike Agerbo: This is probably the Geekiest thing I’ve ever seen, it’s a WiFi t-shirt with a built-in WiFi detector. This got a battery in it and it seeks out WiFi hot spots so if you’re looking for one for your laptop, for internet access, it will actually light up and give you the signal strings on the front of your t-shirt.
Lindsay Smith: That is so cool.
Mike Agerbo: This is the RC cooler.
Lindsay Smith: Remote control, people remote control, our little buddy here is making its way over.
Mike Agerbo: You can move this in all sorts of directions, you want to pick it up?
Lindsay Smith: I will.
Mike Agerbo: So, instead of having to go over to the cooler which we all know isn’t it.
Lindsay Smith: Who would want to do that?
Mike Agerbo: A total waste of energy.
Lindsay Smith: Yeah.
Mike Agerbo: This is the remote control, beverage cooler. You can put all sorts of beverages in here.
Lindsay Smith: So, it’s got a little zipper on the top here and oh I can feel the cold beer. Somebody loves us. It costs about $50.00 so not bad price
Mike Agerbo: Let’s cut this segment short so that we can go research some more.
