Rebecca Brayton: Many ladies swear by the push up bra. The company that created them turned 70 in 2009. Hi I'm Rebecca Brayton and welcome to watchmojo.com and today we’ll be taking a look at the history of Wonder Bra. So how and when was Wonder Bra? Raymonde Tranchemotagne: Wonder Bra was created in 1939. At first, there were very few garments. It was basically bra with girdle. Over the year, we evaluate to very nice, more plungey garments, more push up garments. Rebecca Brayton: What would you say Wonder Bra is best know for. Raymonde Tranchemotagne: Fitting, comfort, quality. Now, I think we are achieving a very contemporary look, so I think we will get much more people. Rebecca Brayton: I know you’ve been in the business for forty years, how have bras and lingerie changed or stayed the same. Raymonde Tranchemotagne: Not much changed. Garments are maybe rounder than they used to be. We like them more natural shape. We can also a lot of garment with foam but it was there before except it was cut and sewn. Today, it’s molded to make sure that we don’t see any seam when wear garment. Rebecca Brayton: Would you like to show us some of the Wonder Bra styles? Raymonde Tranchemotagne: It will be my pleasure. I just want to show you three products that were done between 1939 and 1959. We have some garments with woven fabric, very pretty stitching. Satin was very trendy also with very fancy stitching and very special strap that you don’t see today in the market because it’s very costly to sew and make those operation. Between 1960 and 1975, we introduced two very important push up bra. This style was very popular at the time. For our seventieth anniversary, we want to offer to our consumers, two very nice products where we are using our knowledge. And we’re here at the balcony push up garments, all molded with a very nice ribbon effect. This garment is also molded. It’s a two ply with a very nice jacquard outside. Both garments will be sold at $19.39. It will be a limited edition. The foundation of the Wonder Bra was 1939, so we want the people to celebrate with us. Hopefully, women will be happy to have the garment at that price.
