Born in December 30, 1975 Tiger Woods is a whole mix of things. He is one-quarter-Chinese, one-quarter-Thai, one-quarter African-American, one-eighth Native American, one-eighth Dutch. He refers to himself as the Cablinasian, but hey Tiger you adopted golf, you didn't call yourself whatever you want. Woods was a child prodigy who started playing golf at age 3. He even had a TV appearances showing off his golf skills on the Mike Wallace show when he was still a young child.
In 1996, he made his professional golf debut at the Greater Milwaukee Open. In 1996, Woods was named Sportsman of the Year by Sports Illustrated for his enormous impact on the game even in his Rookie season. The following April, he won the Masters by record-setting 12 strokes over his closest competitor. Today Woods has won 48 professional money events, and he has won 18 other individual professional tournaments. He has won two team titles and he currently holds the lowest career scoring average.
Tiger has the most career earnings of any player in PGA history, and he is one of only five people to win all four major events known as the Grand Slam. With the win in the 2005 Open Championship, Tiger became only the second player to win the Grand Slam twice, but the other being Jack Nicholas have four times.
The second phase of Woods' career, saw him lose some of that dominating edges that you have seen earlier on in his career. Some people explained it as he was changing his swing and other people said he was distracted by his marriage, and things of that sort. But in 2005 after changing his stroke, once again he did return to more of his dominating ways, winning more tournaments in 2005.
