Went to home depot got the "DEMOLITION HAMMER" i broke 2 blades so far and 3 trips to home depot looks like a rip off to me.concrete grinding machine for the thinset works better.

THANK YOU for this wonderful video. We had an enclosed porch with ceramic tile that was cracking and desperately needed to be removed. We didn’t know what tools to use or how to use them. Thanks to this video, we knew what tool to rent: We used only the 2nd tool shown, the “DEMOLITION HAMMER’ busted and broke the tile away from the floor. We then went over the concrete with the ‘DEMOLITION HAMMER’ again to remove the mortar. This is definitely a hard task as you have to put all of your muscles behind the tool to get the job done. We rented the tool from The Home Depot for $56.

I tried to do it myself,using the same tools you are using ;it's been a week no progress only dust,this video looks fake or a poor tile installation job.I'm calling professionals now but they don't want to remove only mortar,best way to get mortar out will be concrete grinding,like $140 an hour.

The silica dust generated by sanding is very toxic. Should wear a respirator.
