Time Saving Windows 7 Keyboard Shortcuts
Welcome to PCWizKid's Tech Talk. Today, we’re looking at Windows tip. This one here is about Windows 7 keyboard shortcuts. I've used them since Windows XP and Vista. Some of them are still the same. However, I like to point out the ones that I'm using in Windows 7 still and some other menu.
So for example, the Windows Flip, the Aero Flip 3D, the Windows key and the Tab key together allows you to flip through your windows and access the one that you like the most. So, that’s one of the ones that I used that comes in very handy when you have lost of stuff open. The other key combination that I like is the Windows key and left arrow or the right arrow. It doesn’t matter. That allows you to position your window either on the left, the right, or dot in the middle basically. So, that’s another quick way of positioning your Windows.
Another one that I like is the Windows key and the Home key. So, when you press those two together, you’re basically minimizing all the Windows except for you current Windows. So, here I've got my current Window open and then all the little ones in the background get minimized all at once. So, Windows plus the Home key, that’s a nice one.
Another one that I like is the Windows key plus the T key. That allows you to scroll through your task bar programs so you see where the little thumbnails are at the bottom of my screen here. Well, it allows you to quickly go through those Windows T, that’s another one. If you haven’t used that, or haven’t used the thumbnails, well maybe you don’t know about the scroll feature there but that you can actually scroll through that.
Another one that I use is the Windows key plus P key. That allows you to connect the projector. So, if you have used a presentation like PowerPoint or another type of a tool, maybe you want to project it onto a larger screen so the Windows P allows you to select that combination on how you want to project that.
Another key combination is the Windows key and the E that opens the My Computer screen quickly. So, Windows key plus E allows you to access your My Computer fast and see all your drives. So, that’s nice.
Another key combination is the Windows key plus the R key that open up the Run command. So, you’ve seen that in many of my videos that I've done tips and tweaks on Windows Vista and Windows 7 even on Windows XP, it works also.
