Tips on Answering True or False Questions

Male: What are some tips for answering true or false questions? Amanda Medders: On a true and false question, an answer can only be true if it is true for every single situation however it only has to be false in on case to be false. Therefore you want to try to prove the answer false rather than try to prove every single instance of it true. Another thing you want to be careful is words that can change the outcome such as always, sometimes, never or even, only if. An example where he might see this would be on a geometry question. Let’s say the question ask you. A four sided shape is always a square, well of that of course would be false. You can have a rectangle, a parallelogram, a trapezoid etcetera. If however the question said, a four sided shape is sometimes a square now you have a true answer. So, watch out for those keywords.
