Would you like to tear up your competition? Here is how, you create a tear sheet to be used as a direct mailing piece because this piece will overcome sales resistance and boost credibility. You have an example, over there where the tear sheet is a piece of marketing. It's printed marketing piece. That's printed on a newspaper stock and then it is torn with a jagged edge to look like somebody ripped it out of a newspaper. So you have an example.
Most people put a sticky note on it, it's something like this one says, Michael read this then call J, by the way, I just found out couple months ago it was -- we were talking around the group and then most of my meeting and they said, it's actually proven that J initial J out pulls all others. People who are actually tested with different initials. I don't know why. Because I have in other ones, J also. So if you were Tammy, you will be J.
Now, but here is another example. You might have seen. How many of you have seen this one. Anybody got this ever in the mail. Okay, few people. Very successful. This is an example and it says, $418 billion giveaway approved by Congress - Money is available now. Now this looks like something ripped out of a newspaper. On the back you have got mutual funds.
Now on top, it looks likes a newspaper, you have got the date, but there is no newspaper name. And people say well, isn't this impersonating or forging a newspaper. There is no name of a newspaper here, but it's made to look like a newspaper. The interesting thing, in the subconscious mind, that the newspaper seems to -- we think, well we hope that what's in the news is true, right. So you can take the same sales letter you have and put it on newspaper stock and people will believe it and they won't believe what you wrote in the letter on 8.5x11.
So that's just another strategy you can try, if you have some copyrighting. Try this. Go to your printer, tell him you want it on newspaper stock and try this. It might increase your response tremendously just because of a different delivery.
