Absolute garbage. The best speedup you can do is to remove unnecessary startup entries. Both in All Programs>Startup, and regedit: HKCU and HKLM\Software\Micros oft\Windows\CurrentV ersion\Run, delete anything you don't need. Unnecessary services can be disabled, too. If your computer's still running slow after that, don't waste time dicking around with these oh-so-minor "performance boosts" and get an upgrade.

All you're doing is turning off the visual effects in windows, which improves performance, but it doesn't' speed it up, it simply uses less resources. Also I don't understand why you think turning off the GUI would make significant difference to the speed.
