Pace: Hi I am Pace, the Green Girls Food Guru and you are watching the Green Girls TV. Today we’re going to make fresh toasted mousse with blueberries. For today‘s ingredients you’ll need two and a half cups of rolled oats, half a cup of sunflower seeds, half a cup of almonds, a quarter cup of raisins, a quarter cup of blueberries, a quarter cup of crystalized ginger, and half a cup of agave nectar.
Let’s add the rolled oats onto a half sheet, and then the sunflower seeds, almonds; chopped up, take the agave nectar, and pour all over, and mix it all together, nice and sticky. I got my oven preheated to 350 and you want to just make sure that the oats, and nuts, and seeds are all kind of flat so it evenly toasts. This will take about 15-20 minutes to become toasted.
In the mean time, we can just chop up the fresh ginger into little pieces, I don’t like to get big chunks of ginger bite, I think that the flavor as interesting, if you get as a smaller bite. Now I am just trying to smell the mousse, so we’re going to take it out. And by half way through the cooking process, you want to take a spatula and kind of move those around a bit, so they don’t get too toasted on one side and not enough on the other. When you take it out, when you’re finally done, it shouldn’t soft, everything should be nice and crunchy.
Put it in for about another 10 minutes. So our mousse is ready, it smells nice and toasty. You just left this cool down for about 20 minutes but make sure to take a spatula and kind of move it all around, so it doesn’t get too toasted or uneven. Then we’ll come back to it and make it having full of mousse with some rice milk and fresh berries.
So let’s just scoop up a little bit of the mousse into the bowl. The great thing about this mixture is that it’ll keep in airtight container for about two weeks. Mousse in a bowl, let’s just take a little bit of the crystalized ginger, I urge you to try even if you don’t like ginger, it might be really, really surprising to you. And our raisins on top, and then fresh blueberries, and a little bit of rice milk, this is probably one of my favorite breakfasts.
There is the mousse with fresh blueberries, I am pace the Green Girls Food Guru and you’re watching the Green Girls TV.
