One question I got today was, “what tools do I need to install a sprinkler system?” Well, I never really thought of that but, basically, you would not need a full bunch of tools. We can provide you with a pipe cutting knife if you need. You can cut poly pipe with just a regular knife, but we got some knives that make it really easy to do, they are both 8 or 10 bucks or something like that. And the other thing, I guess if you got any roller heads, we will give you adjustment tool with your package so that you can make fine tuning adjustments on your roller heads.
Trenching, there are a number of options that you can use for trenching. You can have dig with just a sharp spade if you want to get it done a little bit faster, you can rent a trencher from your local rentals place or your hardware store whenever. You can also get somebody to pull the pipe underground if that is the way you want to go. Local contractors might be able to help you out with that hat. I am not sure if there are a lot of places that rest those or not. But, other than that we use with our poly pipe systems, we use turn seal connections, so for the most part, those are all hand type that are manuals that are hand typing so you would not need any tools there.
With our hose connections, you might want to use a device to walk that into place and tighten everything up. You want to make sure those are good and tight. Other than that, maybe a flat head screw driver to screw together a couple of the clamps that we have with pipe coming thru the manifold system, but other than that I cannot see using a whole bunch. Oh, maybe, you might need a hammer drill if you are planning to do an automatic system and get into your house if you got cement port between the foundation that could be a little bit tough to get into with all the hammer drills so, you might need one of those, but if that is the case and you do not want to rent one of those. We also have outdoor timers that are available to mount on the wall outside.
We got cases that can store timers as well. So, we got options around that if you do not want to put the timer on your hose. You want to have it outside so, hopefully that answers the questions as to what tools you need to install your underground sprinkler system. It is really not that, you do not need to go out and invest in a whole bunch of tools, you can rent that stuff that you don’t have. And other than that, you probably have the other stuff that you need around the house or we supply it to you so, hope that helps you.
