For centuries, miners have busted their butts with one very basic tool, the sledgehammer. But on Mars, there’s a lot more to this tool than meets the eye. Powered by mass multiplier servomotors, this essential tool of the Red Faction pops on contact delivering over a thousand pounds of kinetic force. When you swing, this supercharged hammer, something is going to get leveled.
Crash through cover to shortcut chases. Sneak up silently and dispatch your enemy. And, in multiplayer mode, grab a fleet foot pack, the sledgehammer brings a world of hurt to the battlefield.
The next weapon you get to experience is the assault rifle. This fully-automatic weapon is the workhorse of the EDF. Its magazine holds 40 tungsten flouchette rounds that really pack a punch. It may not be stealthy but its ammo is easy to find. You want one? Just take it off a fallen enemy. Strap on a jetpack and rain down sweet revenge.
