Welcome back to Gear Daddy, I am you host, Daddy Troy. Today, we are looking at the top ten pieces of gear that we have reviewed in the past year.
So here they are, the top ten pieces of gear that we have reviewed here at Dad Labs in the past year. They are not in any particular order, so let's just start with the first one. So the first one is the Cooshee Booster. It's one piece, easy to clean, it really doesn't slip. Your kid can carry it and you can actually put it in your luggage when you travel and that was Episode 272, in case you want to go back and check it out.
Also from Episode 272, is the BabyBjörn Bib. It's one of the first gifts I got as a new parent. It's simple, beautiful and really effective at keeping kid's food off the floor.
Next, number three from Episode 396 is the Learning Tower. If I had to buy one thing for my house to help promote me spending time with my kids, it would be the Learning Tower. Each night as we prepare dinner at home, our kids clamber up into this device, it's very safe, very secure and they'd find it really fun and they end up cooking dinner with us almost every night.
Number four, from Episode 372, are the IKEA art rods. Once your kid gets old enough, art will start flowing into your house and your home can become an art gallery. Kids will know that you care enough to put their art up and what I really like about this, is that the art rods are super cheap.
Number five, from Episode 437, was the Restaurant Rescue kit. I really want to be able to take my kids out to dinner, and anything that helps me do that is a win. This product is well designed and kids dig it.
And number six, from our Thanksgiving episode, Daddy Brad and Daddy Clay reviewed Boxed ones, pretty essential equipment for certain parents.
Number seven is the Clek Booster Seat from Episode 268. It's elegant and it's simple. When your kids are old enough to have a booster seat, they are also old enough to go on a lot of play days. So you are going to be taking that booster seat in and out, make it easier on yourself. Also realize that a lot of booster seats don't lock into place, this one does. Since it locks into place, it doesn't become a flying projectile if you were to be in an accident.
And number eight, from Episode 360 is the Klutz Paper Airplane book. It's not only become a staple in our household, we often give it as a birthday present.
And number nine from Episode 376, was a kid size toilet. We have a lot of discussion on the side about this one, some pro and some con. But I am still convinced that if you have the bathroom space and the money to do this, then it's a great thing. Pre-schools do it and it works.
And finally number ten, from Episode 364 is the Peter Potty. Anecdotally, boys are slower to potty train than girls and if you are having a hard time potty training your boy, believe me, you would spend a lot of money in order to get out of those diapers.
Well that's all this week for Gear Daddy.
