Okay, this video is to show you how to set up Google Alerts for all of the different keywords that are in your silo structure of your site. So, you can set up any number that you want. You just create a Google account, you go to google.com/alerts, sign into your Google account and you just have to create a new alert, you just click this New Alert button and you just put in whatever your keywords is in quotes. So, let's say you want "hair removal", you could put it without quotes and that will do a very broad match and you might end up getting inundated with a lot of Google alerts. So, I like to do it specific to the keyword.
If the main page of my site is about hair removal, I do one there; if I have a silo called leg hair removal, I do one for that for each of the silos, leg hair removal, back hair removal, facial hair removal. For each of my article level keywords, I would set up an alert for that, so that anytime somethings matches that happens, that Google catches, it will send you an alert and then you can find some content that is theme relevant because obviously, Google is going to tell you, "Hey! I just found this page on the Internet that's about leg hair removal", for example and then of course, if you are going to create a link to your site, that's the theme relevant to leg hair removal to your page on your site about leg hair removal, you want to know where to collect the content from, which I will explain about the clipping the content in a minute.
Anyway, its best, I do this on a Comprehensive level which means it's going to send me News, Blogs, Webs, Videos, Groups, everything it can find on hair removal. I like to do it once a day as oppose to as it happens because then I get a digest at the end of each day, which is whole list of everything. So, it's best to keep that on once a day and then just Create Alert. And what will happen is that you will see, it will be there and you just create all of your Google alerts and you will start getting emails to your email account, which you will have to check obviously, for where this content is. In the next video, I will show you what to do with it once you get it, but this is how you set up your Google Alerts for the different keywords.
