Hi, I am Eric Beard from the Longfellow Sport Club Natick Massachusetts again. We have got one of my best personal trainers here today. His name is Leroy Silas. Say hi, Leroy, right?

Good morning, hi!
Leroy is going to go ahead and take us through a couple of great exercise that are fantastic for burning up a bunch of calories, and helping tone up the important muscles. He is going to go through some back to back exercise or Superset or Compound set that sometimes trainers call it. The first one is called the Squats with rows, this is fantastic, go ahead Leroy you can start out with that one. This is great for going ahead and toning the glutes and the quadriceps, as well as the muscle of the upper back and arms. You can do these at all different speeds and tempos with different weights, but the key here is to do somewhere around 12 to 15 repetitions.
Set the way down, and then right way turn around and go to the next exercise. So the next thing that Leroy is going to do back to back, is a split-stance two arm cable chest press. He is going to put a lot of weight into his front hip. Almost like he is pushing a chord and press forward from here. He is going to do a few reps, and then switch legs. These exercises with cables done standing are great, because they force the abdominals and muscles around the hip to do a lot of work. It's opposed to when you are sitting in a machine, and kind of remain dormant, sit there and do the rest of the exercise. Leroy does a lot of these exercise, he has done this in small group training classes, but notice how he tucks the chin, keeps the abdominal in, and engages the glute.
