Host: Should I buy my existing dog and my newly adopted dog their own toys? Kevin Simpson: Well, there really are two different schools of thought when concerning, buying, purchasing toys for your current dog and your newly adopted dog. One is simply don’t just buy enough toys for each dog but buy double or triple the amount of toys and keep it the same so that you will elevate that competitiveness. So let's say you have two dogs and you’re purchasing a little squeaky toy for each of them. Make sure it’s the same stuff squeaky toys so that one doesn’t show favoritism to the other toy. And instead of it being one a piece, I would have about three of them a piece. so that just abundance of toys to really elevate the pressure of one dog trying to be competitive and steal other toys or fight over the toys over the other dog. The other school of thought would be to just eliminate all toys. And kind of just do the bear necessity basics of dog training where the dogs can play with sticks in the yard and they can play with one another and not necessarily have 50,000 toys popping out of their toys box in a given moment.
