Hey everybody, I am Kevin Flynn, and welcome to another exciting edition of Travel Bytes. This month we are at Cedar Point. Now we have shown you three great places to eat here at Cedar Point, three great places to stay, and now we are going to show you three great places to have fun, and by the screams you can tell there are thousands of them.
We are going to start things out by heading into Camp Snoopy, little fun for the kids. Come on. Cedar Point has four areas just for kids, Camp Snoopy, the Gemini Children's Area, Peanut's Playground and Kiddy Kingdom. Each one is specially designed for tons of fun, and snoopy and the rest of the peanuts gang are on here to make sure everyone has a blast.
The great thing about Camp Snoopy are all these specific rides for children. The Kiddy rides. They even have a Kiddy roller coaster. What I love about Camp Snoopy is the Camp Snoopy Theater where the kids get a chance to meet all their favorite peanuts characters. I love snoopy, I love snoopy. The great thing about Cedar Point is that there is plenty of fun for every one in the family, especially the little ones.
It also feels like I am in the dog house. Camp Snoopy was absolutely fantastic, but now it's time to head off to another adventure, Soak City. From a gigantic tidal wave to wild rapid, the Cedar Point has plenty of ways to cool you off. And now it's time to get a little wet. So let's head on into Soak City, I am going to get my ticket. Hi, one ticket and one Speedo please.
Soak City is Cedar Point's answer to all things wet and wild. Water slides, inner tubes, and a gigantic 500,000 gallon wave pool. How could you not have fun here? This is one great ride, it's called Airy Falls, where you go down a tube slide in complete darkness and race your friends to the very bottom, cover me, I am going in. Soak City has plenty to offer the entire family . Kids can splash around the wadding pools, and junior slides, and Choo-Choo Lagoon. Or grab an inner tube and ride Toddler River in Tadpole Town.
If you want the waves on the beach without the sands, it's Breaker's Bay. Nothing sets summer like a dip in a pool on a hot day. So hotter the day, the bigger the pool, right? You get to enjoy these nautical waves for ten minutes at of time. And don't worry, it's very safe . There is a life guard always on duty. Obviously safety is a big concern at Soak City, free life preservers, take a couple home. Even though Soak City is part of the park, there is a separate admission, but it's worth it for the hours of fun you and the kids will have.
Alright, we have seen lots of stuffs, but now let's check out what this place is world famous for. The roller coasters. In case you didn't already know, Cedar Point has the most roller coasters of any amusement park in the world. Park features 16 really roller coasters. It has three of the top ten steel coasters in the world, and also has some of todays most exhilarating thrill rides for you to try. Of all the roller coasters in the park, this one was rated number one steel roller coasters in the world.
It's so big, they don't even call it a roller coaster, they call it a Giga coaster. The Millennium Force. This roller coaster goes 93 miles an hour, and broke ten records, world records in its first year alone. The Blue Streak, Cork Screw, the Mean Streak, these coasters are every thrill seeker's dream. Of course, with these many coasters it's hard to choose a favorite. But having to ride them all to find out, well, that's well worth it. Well, there you have it folks, lots of great place to have fun here at Cedar Point at Sandusky Ohio. It's no wonder this is one of the most popular amusement parks in the world, because it's got the greatest roller coasters in the world, including Millennium Force, and Camp Snoopy and Soak City. Until next time for Travel Bytes, I am Kevin Flynn, we'll see you on the road.
