Return to modern times when you visit the rolling hills wildlife adventure in Salina, no petrified animals here. this world class zoo is home to more than 300 amazing animals. A short hop east will bring you to Dwight D Eisenhower’s hometown of Abele. History buffs don’t want to miss the impressive presidential library and museum or the boyhood of home of Dwight D Eisenhower. More history is made into Pecan the Brown versus Board of Education national historic sight. Here you’ll understand the monumental role of the 1954 Supreme Court decision played in the Civil Rights movement.
Getting to the activist spirit at the constitution hall state historic sight in La Compton, it was here that anti slavery delegates marched against pro slavery representatives and advocated for Kansas to join the union. After the protest, its time to take a break, stop in Laurence and stroll down Massachusetts streets, amidst the antique shops, boutiques, quirky coffee shops and microbreweries. More shopping awaits in nearby Bonner’s Springs, kids will love the moon marble company where you can buy marbles and other unique toys.

At the Kansas Speedway in Kansas City, ride shotgun in a two-seat stock car driven by a professional driver. You can also take a guided tour or watch the high-octane action from the grandstand.
