The 500 year old city Bucharest with the population of 2.1 million was once toted as the little Paris. Bucharest today like any big capital is a bustling modern metropolis full of life and diversity.

Bucharest is Romania’s largest city and capital. Bucharest has a continental climate characterize by hot dry summers and cold winters. Winter temperatures are often below 32 degrees Fahrenheit. They really drop below 14 degrees Fahrenheit. In summer, the average temperature is approximately 73 degrees.

Bucharest is laden with historical charm from the streets of the old city center, which are souly being restored to the grand architecture of the Royal Palace. Bucharest buzzing culturally, 37 museums, 22 theaters, concert halls, 18 art galleries, Jazz clubs and hip nightclubs will certainly keep you busy. I must see is the Parliament Palace formerly called the People’s Palace. It stands as the world second largest building after the U.S. Pentagon in the Gunnies Book of World Records under admistrative buildings.
Buzzing with crowds and traffic from early morning until late at night, University Square area is one of the most popular meeting places in Bucharest. The square brings together some remarkable Architectural masterpieces on each of its four corners.
Bucharest has a diverse and growing cultural scene with cultural life exhibited in a number of various field including the visual arts, performing arts and nightlife. Unlike other parts of Romania, Bucharest cultural scene is much more eclectic without a divine style and instead incorporates various elements and Romanian and International culture.
