One of the most beautiful countries in the world, Switzerland has been a dream destination for many tourists for decades, with the population of approximately 7.5 million. It is situated in central Europe, East of France, north of Italy, with an area of almost 16,000 square miles. It is a relatively small and mountainous country. The capital city of Switzerland is Bern while its two economic centers are Geneva and Zurich.
At any time as you travel around the country, you’ll hit many different climatic conditions. The continental climates in the Alps tend to show the greatest extremes between summer and winter. Mid-August to late of October, generally has fairly settled weathered and it’s a good period for hiking trips.
Higher elevation causes lower temperatures and because of its mountainous character, it is not uncommon to move from cold and rainy weather to a warm clear day in just a few minutes. Freezing temperatures usually occur between December and early March although the temperature rarely falls below 41 degrees Fahrenheit
Switzerland is a truly unique adventure playground for all those who want more than just the seaside. It is made up of three basic topographical areas, the Swiss Alps, the Swiss Plateau, and the Jura Mountains. The Alps comprised roughly 60% of the country’s total area making it the second most alpine country after Austria.
Hotels and tourists facilities start to be built in late century, the glacier expressed takes travelers to the alps by train and journey’s from summer 1:44 to the ski resort, the Zermatt. Sports are integral part of Switzerland’s national life, fittingly for a country made up largely of tall mountains, Switzerland inbounds in venues for winter sport.
The country bought dozes of major ski resorts and has an extent of system of mark across country ski trails. Swiss athletes have performed with excellence at every level of winter sports competition, and notably at the Winter Olympic Games.
Switzerland has something special for you whether your idea of the perfect vacation is hiking in a world of breath taking vistas or pampering yourself in the lap of luxury. Switzerland maybe neutral, but it’s certainly not flavorless.
