Manjit Devgun: Looking for the coolest spots, the best restaurants, the hippest clubs, the most stylish hotels. I’m Manjit Devgun, join me City by City and we’ll visit the most exciting cities of Europe exploring some of the hottest don’t miss destinations. Today we’re off to Berlin, once again the Capital City of Germany since East and West Germany reunited in 1990. From that point, Berlin has evolved in an amazing way. The area with a famous Berlin Wall used to be has completely been rebuilt and is now a stylish modern district with incredible all shops and well class architecture.
Katja Mieckley: At least the older one showing us that Berlin created a very special and new international trend on the market.
Manjit Devgun: There are plenty of places to stay in Berlin but if design is your thing, check into the Five Star Hotel Cue located in West Berlin on Kurfurstendamm Boulevard.

Katja Mieckley: Sleek, sensual, futuristic, this place is unbelievably beautiful which is why it seems to win so many awards. Visitors come here for the great vibe, and the bar and the restaurant and in the fabulous rooms. If you have time to shop, hit the streets and make your way to the east side where you’ll find plenty of local boutiques. If you’re looking for more high end choices try it here. A beautiful collection of shops with international designers, accessories, lingerie even a gorgeous flower shop.
Notice the art décor touches with glass and black and white marble. The design by famous New York architects, freedom partners make the store one of the most elegant shopping experiences in Europe.
Off to that, head to the culture forum, a Potsdamer Platz, an area completely destroyed in the war but now a modern century of commerce and culture. Try the temple of the Neue Nationalgalerie the temple of light and glass. Designed by the modern master Mies van der Rohe, the glass keep gallery most spectacular exhibition and houses of permanent collection of 20th century German and European Art including works by German expressionist and surrealists as well as Non-Germans such as Mount Picasso and many others.
Right now its time to kick back, take it easy for a while and reward yourself with an incredible meal. Feel like steak, how about the Grill Royal
Pieree Ghisolfi: With a lush of sleek but elegant luxury steak restaurant that’s also a place where people meet to come together and then stay very long.
Manjit Devgun: The grill is one of the trendy spots in the eastside located on the bank of the British Spree truly in the heart of the New Berlin. It features an open kitchen and a decor that is as much an art gallery as a restaurant. Reservations are definitely recommended. The steak here is the best. If you’re not eating meat, no problem, there’s plenty more to choose from. Lobster anyone?
Now that your energy is back to explore some of the exciting clubs on the eastside or head back to Kurfurstendamm where you’ll find a place with the most stunning views in Berlin. Puro is located on the 20th floor of the Europe Center and a 360 degrees City Panarama say it all. The Puro Sky lounge covers two floors and has three bars. There’s a party area and on the other side the elegant comfortable lounge with subdued lightings and a relax attitude. Puro is a perfect place to watch the sunset, to celebrate or wind down the night.
This is an incredible city to explore. No doubt Berlin is on the upswing after a rich but turbulent history Berlin has reinvented itself once again. With that you get great food of thriving out scene and astonishing new architecture. Not to mention the feeling that anything is possible. I hope you enjoy your visit.
