The original name for this city means merchant’s harbor. Hi I’m Rebecca Breighton and welcome watchmojo.com. And today we’ll be continuing our travel series with the look at Copenhagen. Copenhagen has been the capital city of the country Denmark since 1417. It is also the largest city in the country. The city is found on Denmark’s island of Zealand as well as on the island of Amager. The most widely spoken language is Danish which is relatively similar to Swedish and Norwegian. Copenhagen’s climate is a relatively mild one. Last things no cover and winter is rare and bohemians summer temperatures average between 55 and 70 degrees Fahrenheit. Copenhagen was once a fishing village, but today is a metropolitan city. Changes to this city’s infrastructure helped with this transformation. Cycling is a popular mode of transformation for this European city. It is one of the most bike friendly cities in the world. Copenhagen’s reputation as a lively and friendly city makes this one of the most visited cities in Europe.
