Welcome to WatchMojo.com. I’m your host Alex and if you’re traveling to the Sea of Salt Lake and you don’t really feel like skiing, here are five other options for you. Number one, Temple Square, it’s the heart and soul of much of the history and culture of Utah. Within its 15 foot walls are two visitor’s centers, the tabernacle and the assembly hall. This 10 acre block located in the middle of downtown in Salt Lake is one of the most popular tourist spots in Utah.
Number two, County Building, construction of the five level building was started in 1892 and finished in 1894. Its clock tower is top with the statue of Columbia and rises 256 feet from the ground. The fourth floor features an exhibit commemorating the 2002 Winter Olympics held in Salt Lake City.
Number three, Big Cottonwood Canyon. Popular with campers, hikers and wall climbers, Big Cottonwood Canyon is a short 30-minute drive from Salt Lake City. Perfect for day hikes, the Canyon offers spectacular views of wild flowers and evergreen trees. In the winter, skiers flock to brighten and solitude ski resorts for a day on the slopes.
Number four, is snowboard ski and summer resort. Snowboard is designed for ski lovers. Everything from the massive four-storey, concrete base sledge to the highest speed lift. This resort boasts the steepest, longest and broadest powder balls in Utah. Number five is the Cathedral of Madeleine. The renewed building was rededicated on February 21, 1993 and the cathedral is listed on both the Utah and national registers of historic places.
