Chaz Rough: Welcome everyone to this edition of look in a mover I'm Chaz.
Stacey Yates: I'm Stacey.
Chaz Rough: And we are at ZS-fusion on musketry and downtown local because tonight Stacey and I are going to this manifest plans and we came here for a little appetizer and little bit of a munch chunk some food before we get over there.
Stacey Yates: As usual, we wouldn’t be looking at level if we didn’t eat.
Chaz Rough: Absolutely, so give a little bit of history about the new manifest.
Stacey Yates: Oh, it’s an amazing festival for global and that’s for the world actually I think a lot of world brilliants who don’t know what a treasure it is. It is not just nationally you know but internationally renounced over 30 years wedding this are the place that where they're all new and this are places that we’ll need seen in future cities of Broadway. And there is three periods or price one in place that if come out in this with the last 30 years. It’s just an amazing experience and one of the things they're trying to communicate this year is to locals.
That we have people from all over the world visiting with media, we have actors, they use playwrights coming to check this out, a lot of the locals don’t know what's going on in their own backyard.
Chaz Rough: And were going to give you behind the scenes look at the human festivals is like.
Stacey Yates: Yeah, were going to do some dress rehearsals use some of the prop management and things going to go up as I said.
Chaz Rough: But before we do that were going to actually enjoy some food here at ZS-fusion, now let's talk about what we had. We had, I started off with just masculine salad you think these things excel but it’s a bit of heavy before hand incredible.
Stacey Yates: And I had the roasted beef that I've had before, it got cheese on it and this little honey garlic dressing with wasabi that they're all will be and Mark had the salad that has a Chinese Tea, asparagus. Then we went to some appetizers. Where we the white tuna sushi roll just delicious, the crawfish mango crunch sushi roll with that spicy mayo on top, the seared scallops, those are fun they had a spicy black bean puree and a red pepper puree on that.
Chaz Rough: And they're really had the rock fruit baste.
Stacey Yates: We did and Mark thought that was guacamole on the bottom it was actually sweet pea sauce, so probably bit for us to taste.
Chaz Rough: The presentation is just beautiful and ZS has been opened just you know just opened here recent years. It used to be the old coons restaurant that’s have been here for years.
Stacey Yates: That’s right, so its right downtown un-further market next to the conventions centers so there are a lot of convention traffic and it’s the second restaurant of ZS enterprise they're first one was in—started in the east end, which is a great place for great stay, great secret.
Chaz Rough: Now were going to enjoy our little dessert here and what dessert is this?
Stacey Yates: This is their—one of their signatures, this is the chocolate melted lava cake and I don’t know if you can see this but the chocolate fudge is oozing out the back here and—
Chaz Rough: Its still looks good on the front folks but we've been eating them.
Stacey Yates: And a raspberries sauce in the bottom, so we just have coffee so we won’t fall asleep during this rehearsals, right.
Chaz Rough: Right.
Stacey Yates: Okay.
Chaz Rough: But were going to hang out drinking our coffee, eat this and were moving to over at the human festival.
Well we made it over the Active Steven Global where they're getting ready to the human Festival place and we ran into Sean here tell us what is you're title here, what do you and what is your participation here on the human Festival.
Sean Daniels: I'm the Associate Artistic Director at Actors Theatre for the haul and this year I'm directing a play called Brink, which is all about rights of passage with people, go through. Whether is when you're born, which is first right of passage everyone goes through.
Stacey Yates: Your first car.
Sean Daniels: Your first car, your first digs of hazard problems, which we all get about 16’s right first date. First time getting married and then of course, the first time that you die is the last right of passage out there.
Stacey Yates: The first time our dead.
Sean Daniels: That’s right yes, of course well I guess you could be born again, right and there will be a second time right.
Chaz Rough: So you know the points here if there is a lot of work there on the hand scenes and here with others and I don’t stuck this being prepared for this event and then what is the undertaking for something like this its if international now.
Sean Daniels: Well this is like what we call our March madness because there are eight show and rehearsal right now at the same time. One of the crazy things when people come here you can see three or four different shows in the same day. So you will see one show in the morning and then you’ll come to a different space while you're in space will switch over the entire set where you just works in.
Stacey Yates: Kind of being in New York.
Sean Daniels: And you come back and see an entire new show.
Stacey Yates: People travel to see right beauty and you really don’t have to do it.
Sean Daniels: It’s like New York but you never have to leave and get a cold or not. And sure, you know these places gone on to all over the country and all over the world. There was a play then in France it was really went to win pots of price. And last year every show that we did has now had a second per productions and two of are playing all broad way right now in New York.
Stacey Yates: Fits in with the cities slogan, right it is possible for it.
Sean Daniels: It’s all through March and in the beginning of April.
Stacey Yates: It’s about 40 day run.
Sean Daniels: Yeah.
Chaz Rough: Well I know you have to be back to work and I think Stacey wants to borrow the Dukes of Hazard again.
Sean Daniels: It’s totally yours for whatever you want to do with it that’s fine.
Chaz Rough: She was talking about the White Sneak for whatever reasons.
Stacey Yates: We’ll see maybe off cam.
Sean Daniels: Great, thank you guys so much.
Chaz Rough: Thanks.
Sean Daniels: Thank you.
Stacey Yates: Look forward to the plays.
Sean Daniels: Thank you.
Chaz Rough: Well were here on the stage in Actors Theatre they're getting ready for one of the big plays and I'm here with Justin who is gracious enough to give some time because I know you're very, very busy. So what does it take to put on an event like this with creating these types of sets?
Justin Hagovsky: This is abseil its all about just you know planning ahead and making sure that everybody is on the same page of being right where it set the stage and when they're directing them all, all aspects. And then it’s a lot of hard work a lot of time and the same focus. Around us as you can see, there is a big tree and all of this other plants that makes up the rest of the stuff and get our roles together and out of the way for our show and this interrupted with the other two performances inward space. And it rolls away and off stage and then go on with another.
Chaz Rough: Great thanks, for it.
Justin Hagovsky: Thank you.
Stacey Yates: Okay, I'm really quite because were about to go in and see some tech rehearsals right and I'm with my good friend Kyle Shepherd actually we have known each other for over.
Kyle Shepherd: Oh, a long time.
Stacey Yates: And actually, she works as a public relations with the actors and tell us about what they were getting ready now and were sneaking.
Kyle Shepherd: Well we have to sneak in but be very quite like you said to see slash actors by Allison Morgan it’s a play that’s going to turn the whole genera on its new by being, being funny. But what were going to see is a technical rehearsal where they need to be on their own inside of the play in a dark but were just going to sneak in inside.
Stacey Yates: I'm whispering into the mic right now.
Kyle Shepherd: And it looks like what they're doing right now with the actors was just going through the movements on the stage where there was a track involve. So the table that you see will disappear and will appear and that type of things.
Stacey Yates: It just doesn’t have to fall through.
Kyle Shepherd: He’s not falling for it. So this is a just a function that set in the changing the systems.
Stacey Yates: Right and he needs to stand.
Kyle Shepherd: He does have to move his marker.
Stacey Yates: Absolutely.
Kyle Shepherd: And you see there was Saint Louis mark, basically there is a lot of movement because of the space it’s a field in the room so that’s changing the sensor requires movement from below. So that’s what's you're seeing, but mind of the head set she is a stage manager. She is just helping with to know their marks and really there aren’t going to be—well really if you can see how many of them you can hear. There is a designers of every sort, we've got your stage managers, you’ve got your big mysteries, you’ve got your set design, you’ve got your costume designer. Your line designer, your side designer all in the same room just checking to show as if its where here and there giving the cue signs basically.
Chaz Rough: Well that one I hope that gives you a good idea of what you can manifest for a places all about and now Stacey has another one of her good friends right here Lindel Berry.
Stacey Yates: He’s a little tight lift this afternoon but this is a famous Kentucky rider and one of the places at the Human Festival is based on his rights. So it’s definitely going to manage that account.
Chaz Rough: So and only, there is a special offer that people can get if they’ve never been to this event.
Stacey Yates: That’s right; I think its fabulous looking at global tip for you. And there is actually a $10.00 ticket for friends that have never been active sitter and never sampled the human festival. $10.00 come down and mined a few performances and now this is truly a cost of a movie ticket. So we have notes for you still, not to come check out their amazing treasure we have here at Actors Theater and the human festival and do live theater.
Chaz Rough: Now for more information about the human festival place please go to ActorsTheatre.org or if you have an idea for an up coming podcast, please send story ID’s to podcastdayglobal.com and its all this.
Stacey Yates: You're looking at little of it.
Chaz Rough: See you real soon.
