Located in Eagle County Colorado, Vail is a small town with population of under 5,000. It was group of World War II veterans who managed to create this romantic destination out of the remote mountain town in Colorado. The Vail Mountain Resort was open in 1962 and it was 4 years later that Vail was incorporated as a town. It was during the next decade that the area became world famous for its skiing. Vail’s pedestrian village is an idyllic place where cars are unnecessary. Walking down Cobblestone Streets, the splendid mountain stands in view. With shopping and night life, spas and festivals you’re sure to find something to do when you are not skiing. As the town of Vail is located in the mountains, it is also a sunny town with over 300 days of sun each year. For those who love adventure and the thrill of mountain life, Vail Colorado is the place to be.
