Number one; Parrot Jungle Island; located on 18.6 acres. It is home to more than 3,000 exotic animals and 500 species of plants. Attend any of the park show that enables kids to interact with parrots, reptiles, fish and flamingos.
Number two; Miami Children’s Museum. This brand new museum is a modern but odd looking 56,500 square foot facility that includes 12 galleries and a 200 seat auditorium.
Number three, Gold Coast Railroad Museum; Located on former naval are station. The Gold Coast Railroad Museum is spread over across 58 acres. You will view actual railroad equipment, passenger cars and so much more.
Number four, Metro Zoo, this worthy zoo boats more than 200 species including koalas, black rhinos and a pair of komodo dragons.
Number five; Miami Sea Aquarium. Shows and exhibits include a tropical reef and discovery bay; a natural mangrove habitat that serves as a refuge for the rehabilitation rescued sea turtles. You can choose from a variety of activities such as the flipper lagoon where you can go swim with the dolphins.
