Manjit Devgun: How do find the coolest spots, the best restaurants, the most stylish hotels. The hippest clubs for shake dine. I’m Manjit Devgun and if you like me, you like to travel in style. In this show I’ll take you to some of the most exciting destinations in cities all over Europe.
Today we’re going to Zurich, the largest city in Switzerland known as one of the most famous financial centers in the world. This city sit close to the Swiss Alps, has much more going for it than chocolate, international banks and the beautiful lake.
One place you definitely shouldn’t miss is the Sternen Grill. Hey, you’ll find celebrities, construction workers, millionaires and paupers all into one roof, all enjoying the famous hot sausage at the most famous snack bar in town. The owners, the Rosenberg family have three well established restaurants in the same building but people say they made their fortune with the grill. All because of this tasty grill sausage.
Male: Yeah it’s a juicy menu, if you go to a restaurant where you spend one hour or two hours, but here, you can come here, you have your sausage and many of you can eat it and they go away.
Manjit Devgun: I bet it’s the most delicious breakfast you’ve ever tasted. Enjoy it as a snack, for lunch or before going out to the opera or a club but be careful you just might get totally addicted.

Manjit Devgun: Everyone seems to visit the popular banking district. An exclusive shopping along Bahnhofstrasse where you can live the crowds behind and they’re open to the cobblestones side streets, we will discover true shopping paradise, the fashion victims.
One of the hippest boutiques is the Salvatore Schito. Shopping at Schito is a luxury of its own. Fine clothing, excellent service, great style. The owner Salvatore and his wife Imelda sell trendy labels for women and classical outfits for men as well as tailor-made suits and handmade shoes and boots.
There are over 2,000 restaurants in Bossin’s Zurich you’ve definitely chosen one of the best if you had to Valmann. It’s a great bar with excellent music, a stylish atmosphere and an interesting crowd. A hot spot since it opened a few years ago and there’s a simple secret for its success.
Male: We couldn’t go out. We didn’t have a place anymore to go out so we created actually a place for us and our friends and it’s a lot of people between 24, 35, you know, they don’t have a place anymore and that’s the place to be.
Manjit Devgun: Check it out and you just might bomb in to Nikimo picking out his favorite jeans, making sure that the sound is just right and enjoying the place as much as your own.
Another Zurich phenomenon is just around the corner from Valmann. It’s the Kaufleuten. There are many good restaurants in Zurich. Some are famous for the cuisine, others as places to be. The Kaufleuten is both for more than 10 years it’s been reinplaced to have dinner in Zurich.
It occupies a gorgeous old building and office traditional Swiss dishes as well as international favorites like Sashimi, Beef Tartare or Thai curry. Just be sure to make reservations ahead of time.
What would be better for digestion than a shake down on the dance floor?
The Club Diagonal is the most stylish and exclusive club in town. It belong to the well known hotel Baroque land, it was found in 37 years ago, its now more than ever invoked with its retro 70s look aligned of having incredible details and plenty of enthusiasm on the dance floor is definitely place not to miss in Zurich.
When it’s time for goodnight sleep the Park Hyatt is a perfect choice located in the heart of the city. The Hyatt is a contemporary five star work of art. Luxurious but super cozy as well, the perfect place to stay if you’re away from home.
So I hope you enjoys Zurich, it’s a great place. In winter, there’s skiing and in summer hiking, hanging out in the cafés and at the lake.
