Hi, I am David Birch, and I work with marketing here at TubeMogul. And I am going to walk you through the process of uploading a video and then deploying it to the various video sharing sites. Such as YouTube, MySpace and Grabber. We support up to 15 different sites. So the first step is, let's log on, and if you don't have an account, you can just click here and sign up now. So I saved my account log in, so let's go ahead and log in. Then we are going to be brought to our dashboard which you can customize, and we will show you that in another video, and from there you go to the upper left hand corner and Click upload a video.
Now here is where you can choose your video. I have one ready to go here and you just select it from your hard drive. And now is a great time to know that we -- it says maximum file size 100 Mega Bytes. We do accept files larger than that, but most of the video sharing sites have different requirement as to how large a file they'll accept. So what we will do is, if it's over a 100 mega bytes, we'll transcode it to compress it. To make sure it's acceptable for the various video sharing site. Now once I've selected from my hard drive I hit upload, and as it uploads we can enter the title and description and meta tags for our video.
And as we type the tags, you can see below there is a preview function that will show what they will look like on the various sites. They have different standards of how many tags they'll allow, and what tags they'll allow? So this lets you preview that.
And then we will select the category, and then we have a new feature that allows you to customize your thumbnail. But I am going top click no on that today, and from there we just hit Upload. Now once your video has uploaded or automatically brings you to this page, where you enter your user names and passwords to the various video sharing sites.
Now I should know that you do have to have accounts to each video sharing site you want to upload to. Now if you don't have an account, say for YouTube you can just go to more options at here, and it says, don't have a YouTube account, Register now. And you can click that, and that will take it off to YouTube site, and you can get the user name and password. Then come back and enter those credentials right here. So from here we can check out every site we wanted to deploy to. We have YouTube, YouTube, Yahoo! MySpace, MetaCafe, and then we have several more sites we can deploy to. You can enter your user names and passwords for.
We are going to scroll down here, and from there we can save this set of credentials. So if you want to upload videos later, we don't have to re-enter our user names and passwords for all these different sites. I mean, you can save as many sets of credentials as you want, and then here is Schedule Launch. This is one of our new premium products that you pay for, and this allows you to schedule a deployment for whenever you want to launch it, and then we quick launch.
Now these little lights here you see, they look like traffic lights. It's yellow now, because the video is in the process of deploying, and when you check back in, these will turn to green, as the video deploys. So that concludes our video session. We have uploaded and deployed a video to the various video sharing sites.
