James Bell: The Turquoise Holiday Company was founded in 2002. We founded the company because we felt there’s a gap in the market to offer unique authentic and luxurious honeymooners a new product offering. And to say we seem to be growing from strength to strength servicing this clients with unique destinations and the sort of romance and attention to detail that honeymooners expect and you know enjoy from the whole day of their lifetimes really.
We try and create a whole of lifetime for our clients and some of the destinations we service and go to are the south pacific, Tahiti and the islands of Bora-Bora. Also the Indian Ocean to the North East sea shells riches and also the combinations with those Indian islands and also Africa, south and east Africa.
Well, basically our website is designed to show people not only the accommodation we offer in an attractive way but also on the key functions of it is our gift list service. We are the first companies in the UK to feature a gift list. It’s fun and interactive to use and is stylish to use, also it’s very tailored to you and personal to you. You can put your own images in of you, your own message at to your friends and family. You can change the gift amounts, what gifts you want, images of the gifts. Totally transparent and we also are very proud of the staff we have here in the office who will talk you through how to setup the gift list. What changes you want to make and give you advice on amounts, so we have a team that’s very good here.
Top wise its said you know the real unique thing about us that we love honeymooners and really I mean that. I mean that if you once go out with ribbons around them with wax sales, we really want to get involved in the romance of it. We’ve also tried really hard to not only get the best rates at the best hotels but also the best honeymoon rates and that’s what we really strive to achieve is offering excellent value for money at you know, really special places. So dining and market is very, very important to us and we think they are unique in our offering and how we offer it to that market.
You know some of the favorite destinations that we sell, the ones that I think is just absolute wonderful for honeymooners is Tahiti. It’s the perfect island hopping destination, you know you can arrive and go to the northern to know the group, an archipelago of dessert islands. The low-lying corals, so real and some crew safe stuff and you can have a week there and totally to chill out from the pressure from the wedding and then go on to Bora-Bora. Probably in my opinion is the most glamorous island in the world. It’s not spoiled, a beautiful torque like lagoons, fantastic hotels, great seafood as well and you know have an over water bungalow. Everyone dreams about their over water bungalow hot on stills. You know they’re just amazing.
Then going back into South Africa, you know I think south Africa is a fantastic value for money and something like you know harmonious down in the Cape Town is amazing and Burking, that house. You know crushing waves on the rocks below the hotel. You can see whales at the right time from the terrace there swim, wine lovely.
You know why I think the people use our gift list is obviously you know people are getting married later in life and you know they got a lot of things whether it be toasters or condiments that they normally put on the list. And there are two ways at looking at it, you know a lot of people have a gift list purely for the cash purposes. I reduce the cost of amendment or you can look at adding that value to your honeymoon and put on things in that you like to have. So that could be a diving experience, it could be a wine tasting experience, it could be a surprise, it could be all sorts of things and we can cater for both aspect of it. And the truth is its very, very flexible and were very flexible with it, so you might decide that you do at some point want to hold the cash and actually don’t want the extras that we discussed. That’s fine by us, you know it is totally flexible and the idea there is to make the most out of your wedding gift list and deliver what you would like out of it and I think it does that pretty well.
