This is going to be review on A.04, I’m on a 64-bit version, the reason I’m doing it this late is because I felt that I used it long enough now to make decent review. For most people they say they review but they probably use it a week or a day, so that’s like the first impression. Its not really a review, so when I first got A.04 the drivers and stuff for my video card, it went smoothly however the drivers from my laser printer, it didn’t go smoothly. I mean it showed the name of it but when I tried to install it didn’t do nothing, so I have to do it manually you know.
The good thing about Ubuntu it is just in Linux I think is when you—the more that you install its not going to affect your computer; you know it doesn’t slow it down. For windows, the fastest time you’ll have windows is the first day you install it and everyday after that it goes downhill, it’s just my experience. It might be different for yours but for you know all the time I had windows, the more shits I had, the more files or the more you know hard disk I use, it just gets slower and slower and I don’t like that. There is no YM in Linux you know.
In Totem, Totem is the default you know movie player and when you’re watching like a DIVX format movie, AVI stuff, it logs. The talking isn’t in sync with the audio and shit like that, so that’s just what I experienced. Its not every time but sometimes some files it doesn’t sync that and that’s just ass right? And flash on Firefox, this has been going on since Linux has been about you know not everything has a decent flash. That’s just—its just they need to do with fucking Adobe. Many Adobes is fucked but I hope they fix it soon, fast, now and Firefox, Firefox it leaks sometimes memory leaks, its not every time but you know it does leak. That’s just on my experience and I have to close that shit up you know.
It’s just being too much around and the sound, I don’t know if this is caused by audio pulse or I don’t know, the default shit but that shit when you open like a few different movie players and music players. It can fuck up your shit and you know one shit doesn’t work and this shit works and that’s shit, so yes that’s another bad thing about it. External modem, if you plug something in the USB, which is about anything in your computer, it doesn’t always not, it doesn’t always amount and it does mount and you take it off, you can still see the damn drive on the desktop you know. That’s not sexy, no and I also experienced this if you have an external drive right and you want to transfer stuff to it or from it is really slow. And you know I have an SAT8 hard drive and that shit shout go like you know I don’t know, more than 4 megabits per second. That’s how slow it was, 4 megabits, stupid and that’s the real bug because I checked on line and other people are having it too, so they need to fix that shit.
And compass you know, compass, it doesn’t work with every program and I wish it would because you know I don’t want to turn that shit off just to play games and shit. That was mainly the bug for the Urban Terror thing because compass was on, that was about it and transmission, transmission Bit Torrent program is good but you know I would want more features with it and they capture here for something like that but overall I do dig transmission but first they just have to have that thing. That’s why I think U Torrent is still the buzz because it will feature that you know you can copy your own—your download speed and that shit.
And as for the updates, you update your shit and sometimes it breaks, sometimes you update again it fixes the break you know and just that’s just I don’t know, that’s kind of like luck and I really don’t like it. There are some updates that will break your shit, that’s what I’m trying to say and the application panel, you know the panel up here like this and the panel and then you see this on every icon, I really don’t like that you know. Just giving you the programs, so I don’t want the—to put the shits up on the panel, I don’t like doing that.
And the archive manager you know where you know you make zip files and shit but that shit is weak, I mean sometimes I try to extract something, it doesn’t show or it never extracted and if I try to retrieve something, sometimes it can never, sometimes it doesn’t even compress it. It just place it in there but it doesn’t compress it and gimp, gimp they have the multiple windows thing, I get the idea why they do that because you know some people they have like dual monitors. And they want like you know to be more productive so you can move your windows or shit like that but this you have like you know both options. One like the photo shop type of thing because not everyone uses dual screen or triple screen or you know quad screen, so yes. We don’t want the multiple windows shit and that’s just my take on that.
Now I don’t use gimp a lot but when I use it, I try to avoid gimp because of that shit is the ass, enough with the video editing. Yes its complicated to learn that, you actually have to sit down and actually learn it, you know what I’m saying it. With other applications you know play three minutes and I know exactly what I need to do. Where in Sinerela you actually have to learn that shit and that’s not fun and that’s just mainly all the things that’s bugging me with eight out of four. You know when I update to A10 yes, but I’m going to wait but probably a month after the release date because everyone you know the first day they want it the first day, stupid. Everyone is going to have a problem on the first day and then even that the second week and third week, fourth week, you know.
I don’t recommend you updating because it will probably break your shit, so you want to install it fresh then that’s what I’m going to do and even if you get it working you know. I know a few people they get the updates you know to the next distribution but like some other programs will still break. Even though you made it through and that’s no fun, so yes that’s my review on it. These are mainly the programs that are the default stuff that’s on A.04, so I’m not telling about some external shit that I installed, you know what I’m saying. Every thing I talked about was mainly the default programs on that—yes that’s just my review, hope you enjoyed that shit.
