How to use your iPhone as a drive with Air Sharing
Michael Callahan: Hi, this is Michael Callahan, Dr. File Finder, and welcome to your butterscotch.com tutorial on how to use your iPhone as a disk with Air Sharing. Now, Air Sharing is available on the Apple App Store for $499. It gives you the ability to have file storage and document viewing. It's was a pro-version for $999, tap on the icon, it starts to load. There is a folder for sample files, you can tap on that, you can see there is a wide range of formats you can view spreadsheets, pages, document, JPEGs, a web archive and lots more. Now, if you connect from a PC or a Mac, you're connecting to the iPhone as a drive, so I can drag a file drop it on the icon that represents my iPhone from my Mac. And now, you can see, here is a new file that I just put there from my Mac. You look down at the bottom, you can see http address where I'm connected, this is a great way to drag files from your PC, your Mac. You tap edit brings up this screen; you can tap red minus sign, and then tap delete.
If you tap on setting you can enable sharing, you can change the port that's used to connect if you wish you can require a password, or a pass code, you can also allow it to sleep after so many minutes on inactivity. You can show file extensions, you can tell it to show invisible files. If you have a problem you can mail a log to the company Avatron. Now, if you tap on photos, you can see that you can play each slide for five seconds, you can turn on repeat and shuffle. So this is Air Sharing for the iPhone, and that's all there is to it.
