Using A Laser Level

So if you go to any construction site now, you’ll see that they’re using lasers to build and renovate homes. It’s revolutionized the industry because it makes it so much easier. Well now, this technology that used to be very expensive has come down in price and is available to you, the consumer. Products like the “Black and Decker” laser level, “Zircon” laser level and others are available at your participating ACE store. This one here is less than forty dollars, and what it does is it, projects a beam of light as far as a hundred feet in some cases with pin point accuracy. So if you’re laying out pictures along a long wall, or like here, I’m getting ready to lay out a closet organizer.
What happens is, you’ll see these little vials in here that are similar to a regular level, set it up along the wall, spend a little bit of time to make it nice and level and get that bubble between the lines, hold it in place, and look at the beam of light that it projects along the wall, then you can take a pencil, and make a mark on one spot, make a mark on another, and what’s really slick is it actually turns the corner, so if you’re doing a larger area where there’s two of you doing it, you can just come across with your pencil and mark it, take it down and get professional results every time.
