Using Auto Door Unlocking in the Acura MDX/ZDX
One of the most frequently customized features is Auto Door Unlocking. To configure
the Auto Door Unlock feature, begin with the ignition in the on position. Press the up-
down arrow button to scroll through the MID menu until key list memory settings is
displayed. Then press the select reset button.
Press the up-down arrow button as needed to select the change setting screen on the MID
and then press the select reset button. Press the up-down arrow button to scroll through
the menu. Select door window setup and press the select reset button. Now, scroll down
to auto door unlock and press the select reset button.
You have two main options to control the door unlock feature. Shift to P meaning shift to
part to unlock the doors and ignition off to unlock the doors. Under either choice you can
choose whether just the driver’s door or all the doors unlock or the door unlock feature
can be turned off altogether.
To select the setting that unlocks all the doors when you shift to park, use the up-down
arrow button to select the shift to P setting and press the select reset button. Then use the
up-down arrow button to select all doors.
Press the select reset button to make your choice. The confirmation screen will appear on
the MID for two seconds then the auto door unlock screen returns. Follow a similar
procedure to configure the other settings customized via the MID such as lighting setup,
wiper setup and more.
For further instructions on how to program these customizable settings, refer to the
advance technology guide or owner’s manual.
